Dexcom G6 Transmitter – Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System Component
The Dexcom G6 Transmitter is a key part of the Dexcom G6 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) System. It transmits glucose level data from the sensor to a display device. The G6 system operates in real-time (RT), meaning it does not require calibration, features customizable alerts, and allows glucose level data sharing with up to five close contacts.

- Long-Lasting Sensor – Approved for 10-day wear.
- Paracetamol Interference Blocking – The Dexcom G6 sensor prevents clinically significant interference from paracetamol.
- Easy Sensor Insertion – The sensor is inserted into the skin using an automatic applicator with the push of a button.
- 55 mg/dL Hypoglycemia Alert – A predictive alert warns of a potential severe hypoglycemia episode (55 mg/dL) 20 minutes in advance.
- Two Alert Schedules – Alerts can be customized for different times of the day, such as daytime and nighttime.
- Customizable Alerts & Data Sharing – Users can set personalized alerts and share glucose data with up to five people.
Required Components for System Use:
To use the Dexcom G6 System, three components are needed:
- Dexcom G6 Sensor – Works for 10 days.
- Dexcom G6 Transmitter – Works for 3 months.
- Display Device – A compatible smartphone or an optional Dexcom G6 receiver.
